My dad and I went out with captain Leo for an evening tarpon charter. It was a great experience. We used live mullet and shrimp for bait and did some casting with lures. Leo put us on some great fish and we got two fish over 100 pounds to the boat. Leo was knowledgeable and really knew the are. I’d recommend it to anyone who’s in the area!
Captain Leo used his fishing experience and knowledge, mastery of his boat, and personable demeanor to lead my wife and myself through an evening of fishing that neither of us will ever forget. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on his boat and was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of chasing trophy tarpon. We hooked into multiple fish at almost every spot we targeted, it seemed. Leo was also very patient and informative throughout the evening answering any questions and offering a wealth of knowledge.
His boat is immaculate, he is passionate and skilled at his craft, and an enjoyable person to be around....I'm not sure what else you could ask for from a fishing charter. Can't wait to fish with him again in the future.
Captain Leo is fantastic! He knows his stuff and has a real passion for fishing and the outdoors. We had a great morning chasing tarpon and hooked into tuna, mahi, and bonita. Definitely got my money’s worth and I look forward to chartering with Capt Leo again.
We had an amazing time, Leo is awesome! My husband caught two tarpon and I caught one. We are inexperienced fishers and had multiple tarpons on line. This guy knows the spots and is great at coaching you through the catch it was a lot of fun and we will be coming back and doing this again!
Leo was great! We were catching big fish the entire evening. He kept us entertained too and knew the best spots in south beach to catch snook
High caliber fishing guide!
We had booked a trip with another guide that canceled on us last minute, like actually day of, just hours before we were to be on the water...but Captain Leo saved the day! Awesome guide, genuine guy, and stand up fisherman with excellent boat & tackle. He runs a very clean, organized & efficient boat, quick to get lines in, change bait, relocate & get on the fish! Overall an excellent & most enjoyable experience!
If you are looking for a local Captain who is born and raised on the South Florida and Bahamian waters this is your Captain. Needless to say it will be an action packed day, perfect for adults or even family planned trips!
Captain Leonardo Lombera goes the extra mile to make sure he gives you the utmost chances of success on your trophy fish!! I fish with this captain as often as I get free time. I try to fish with him at least every other month depending on my schedule.
If you’re looking to score a fish of a lifetime I’d bet my last dollar on this guy.
Capt Leo is an awesome guy. Super nice, and very knowledgeable. He took my wife and I out on a tarpon trip last night for her birthday and our anniversary. We spent 5 min getting to our fishing location, and within another 5 min, we were hooked into a 120+ lb tarpon. I mean, you can't get any better than that. 5 tarpon caught total. Best was well over 150 lbs. Massive fish...

Great fishing trip. I've been on many fishing charters throughout the Caribbean and in Florida . This definitely was one of the best. Capt Leo was knowledgeable, professional, experienced and very friendly. Great for first timers or experienced fishers. Knew all the spots to fish. Will definitely go back.
Leo took me and my friends out to go fishing and we caught some big snooks and others. He was friendly well knowledgeable and helpful. Me and my buddies had a great time with him! Highly recommend
